Infrastructure of the Department
Space
The college block Department of Microbiology has in 1338 14 sq.mt area and central laboratory in hospital in sq .mt. Recently, closed PCR System for covid 19 testing has in 96sq.mt and Open PCR lab in 120 sq.mt area.
Equipment
Apart from basic equipments required for Microbiology routine work, Special microscopes like dark ground and Fluorescence are available.
Major and sophicticated equipments like ELISA reader, washer, Molecular biology equipments like PCR machines ( Thermocycler), Refrigerated centrifuge, Biosafety cabinetA2 and B2 , deep freezers are available.
A separate Open PCR laboratory with Biosafety level 2 facilities are available in central lab
