PROGRAMME DETAILS:

Department of Dermatology,Venereology and Leprology along with the Medical Education Unit conducted the Prof.Dr.N.Balasubramainan endowment lecture on February 23^rd, 2023.

The programme commenced with Tamizh Thai Vaazhthu and the ceremony was inaugurated by the following dignitaries.

Inaugural address by Dr.K.Akila, Assistant Professor, Department of DVL, TSRMMCH&RC

Presidential address by Dr.S.Revwathy,Dean,TSRMMCH AND RC

Felicitation by Dr.N.Malmurugan, Dean Engineering & Technology Director, SRM Trichy Campus

And Dr.R.Vijayakumaran, Medical Superintendent, TSRMMCH&RC

Keynote address and introduction of the speaker by Dr.K.Gopalakrishnan, HOD, Department of DVL, TSRMMCH&RC

Gold medal examination for the final year MBBS students were conducted by the Department Of Dermatology with prior permission from the management 2 weeks before the event. The winner of the exam Ms.Sripragadhambal,Final year MBBS student was awarded with gold medal and certificate by the chief guest and dignitaries. The participants were given participation certificate.

The scientific session happened as follows

The event was attended by 160, of which 68 were faculties, postgraduates and interns of various departments and 92 students of nursing and allied health sciences.

The speaker highlighted on the practical difficulties every dermatologist faces in managing the fungal infections and about the lifestyle changes that has caused the rampant spread of the infection.

Prof. Dr. N.Balasubramanian enlightened the students with his experience on the same.

Overall it was a lively and interesting session and all were attentive till the end

Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.M.Bandhalarajan, Assistant professor, Dept of DVL, TSRMMCH&RC.

The session ended with National anthem and was followed by lunch
