Department of Community Medicine at Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC)

The month of October is the celebrated as Breast Cancer Awareness worldwide to increase the awareness of the disease among the community. The main objective of the programme is to promote early detection by screening and subsequent early treatment.  This year at the UHTC, we conducted awareness among the patients visiting the Health Centre on 10^th October. The main theme was to educate the gathering on the importance and method of “Self-Breast Examination”.  Around 60 participants attended and benefitted from the interactive session conducted by faculties and interns.
